Paneer is
also called chenna in Marwar and in this recipe they make
sumptuous koftas that are simmered with green peas in a
tangy gravy.
Cooking Time : 20 mins.
Preparation Time : 15 mins.

Ingredients |
|
½ cup green peas, boiled |
|
For the chenna koftas |
|
1 cup paneer (cottage cheese),
grated
1½ tablespoons plain flour (maida)
a pinch of soda bi-carb
2 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
salt to taste
oil for deep frying |

For the gravy |
|
½ cup curds, beaten
1 teaspoon Bengal gram flour (besan)
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1½ teaspoons chilli powder
½ teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
2 green chillies, chopped
1 teaspoon ghee
salt to taste |
